Peg was very active in the local community; she was a patron of St. James Catholic Church, Carthage, a member of the Carthage Chamber of Commerce, the Bassett-Baxter Post #789 American Legion Auxiliary and the Women’s twilight golf league at Carlowden Country Club.
Raised on a dairy farm on Tug Hill, she acquired a love for the outdoors. She was often found gardening, tending to her horses, picking leeks and enjoying her “Farm” on County Route 45.
Peggy brought people together through her cooking and love of entertaining; she enjoyed traveling and spending time at her condo in Florida.  Above all, she loved spending time with her family. Her greatest pride was rooted in the success of her children and her deepest love was for her grandchildren.
